Keeps inventories at a level to minimize out-of-stock and overstocks while insuring that merchandise is fresh.  &amp;#8211; Schedules all meat associates, oversees and participates in ongoing training efforts in which department associates are taught specialized skills developed over years, rewards and recognizes their performance and delegates work assignments so as to utilize their talents and abilities while maximizing department profits.  &amp;#8211; Develops and implements localized merchandising plans or follows guidelines and suggestions of company plans that help the meat department achieve sales and profit goals.  &amp;#8211; Prepares, maintains and tracks all types of records concerning inventories to calculate gross monthly profits according to company guidelines.  &amp;#8211; Follows established department procedures for receiving and unloading incoming shipments, pricing the product and stocking cases to ensure quality, protection, accuracy and proper rotation of product in the cases and cooler. Rewraps meats as needed.  &amp;#8211; Keeps department expenses under control by improving operations and efficiencies, meeting budgeted labor goals as determined by the company and by taking action to control shrinkage and pilferage losses.  &amp;#8211; Maintains a safe and clean working environment to insure compliance with all safety and sanitation requirements as set forth by the company and mandated by state, federal and &lt;span class=&quot;caps&quot;&gt;OSHA&lt;/span&gt; regulations.
